About Me

I started my professional dance training at The Theatre School of Dance and Drama, Edinburgh where I studied dance, drama and singing for one year.
I then continued on to Liverpool John Moores University where I successfully completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Dance with Education and Community Studies.
I studied classical ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Modern to advanced level with further professional development in jazz. Also other styles include: tap, Irish, Lindy Hop, Latin American, African and many more.
My professional experience, performance wise has covered solo, group and small company performance throughout the UK.
My dance teaching experience covers the areas of: Pre-School; Primary; Secondary; Further Education and in the general Community, including running my own dance school.
I have also choreographed dance and movement for National Competitions; National Dance Festivals, Musicals (including “Fame” and “All that Jazz”) Cabaret Groups/Solo Performances (Dance Professional Scotland) and Dramatic Plays.
Along the way I have also picked up qualifications in related areas, such as: a diploma in health and fitness. A certified teacher of Callanetics, aerobics, aquafit. Personal training, gymnastics and first aid.
I obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education from The University of Edinburgh (Moray House) and have now been working within Fife as a primary teacher for the past five years. Most recently, I graduated from Edinburgh University again but this time with a Post Graduate Certificate in Physical Education.
I am a registered member of The GTCS, Dance UK and The International Dance Council.
At present I am available for freelance teaching, choreographing and performance work in dance.
